Forensic
Accounting
Our insolvency experience requires us to conduct
various investigations to uncover fraud, voidable transactions and
possible breaches of the law by officers of companies and those associated
with them. These investigations may lead to action undertaken by the
Australian Securities and Investments Commission or, in some cases,
recovery action by the Liquidators.
Members
of our team have experience in conducting investigations with the
Corporate Affairs Office and have been involved in investigations
into the highly publicised asset hunts within the Bond group of companies.
Accordingly,
as a firm, we are particularly well equipped for this type of work.
Investigations
Specialist investigations may be required to assist in dispute resolution,
investigating the affairs of companies with a view to identifying
breaches of the various laws or in identifying fraudulent activities
and transactions, with particular focus on
• Investigation of trusts, companies and individuals
• Tracing hidden or undisclosed assets
• The detection and prevention of fraud
• Determining the respective equities of parties in dispute
• Fraudulent misappropriation
Such investigations require an inquiring mind, an analytical approach,
a willingness to work hard and a determination to get to the root
of an issue, qualities which team members of FIT Solutions possess
in abundance.
