Evan Robert Verge MBus FCPA MICM

Evan joined the firm as a partner in July 2001.
Evan holds a Masters of Business degree (Public Accounting) and is a member of CPA Australia (CPA), Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICA), the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia (IPAA) and the Australian Institute of Credit Management (AICM), and Australian Institute of Management (AIM).

Committed to the advancement of the profession, Evan is currently the President of the WA Division of the Australian Institute of Credit Management and member of the Public Accountants Committee of CPA Australia. He has previously been a Chairman of the Investigation Committee and the Public Accountants Committee, member of the Professional Development Committee of CPA Australia and he has also been a Branch Secretary of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia (IPAA).

An Official Liquidator with the Supreme Court of Western Australia and Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy, Evan has extensive experience in insolvency administration, including liquidations, receiverships, informal schemes, bankruptcies and administrations under Part X of the Bankruptcy Act. He has assisted several companies through the voluntary administration procedure.

Evan is also a registered Tax Agent.

Prior to his involvement in public accounting, Evan was for thirteen years in management positions for Australia’s largest insurance company. He then moved on to become the assistant to the Chief Accountant for Wesfarmers Co-operative Ltd (now Wesfarmers Ltd ) as a budget and systems accountant, before joining public practice as an Insolvency Manager with a CPA firm in 1982. He became a partner of that firm in 1985 and remained so until joining this firm.

He is married to Margaret and resides in North Beach. He is the father of three adulwt children and actively participates in church activities. He also participates in tennis and is a “follower” of football, rugby, cricket and basketball sports, with other pursuits including leisure activities at the local beaches.
